The Tawny is a red wine less intensely coloured than a Ruby Port and has a light and elegant style. Have the Senador (Tawny or White) slightly chilled as an apéritif with melon, nuts or amonds. "When it's as good as this, tawny port effortlessly combines lightness with unmistakeably good flavours of nuts, dried fruits and a dry finish. Just as the Portuguese do, we should also call it 'port wine' it is, after all, fortified wine“ and this one is good value too. Joelle Thomson
