Winemaker's Notes
Vineyard - Selected vineyards from contract growers in the Nelson region.
Soil - Predominantly stony alluvial soils on ancient river beds.
Vintage Conditions - A stunning grape growing season for the 2019 Harvest. A dry Spring, followed by a hot and dry Summer with a little bit of rain just before harvest began, resulting in intense flavours and ripeness in the grapes and wines.
Harvest Date - Late March - early April
Fermentation/maturation - 100% stainless steel
Alcohol - 13.0%
Residual Sugar - 5 g/L
Acid - 9.15 g/L
Tasting Notes / General Comments - An easy drinking Pinot Gris with flavours of melon, nashi and Jasmine with a hint of ginger followed by full viscosity and a great length on the finish
Hue - Clear light straw
Nose - Nashi pear and quince with floral notes
Palate - Luscious fruit of melon, nashi and ginger
Length - Great length and smooth
Cellar - Drink young and fresh through to 2022
Serving Suggestions - Fresh seafood, Asian dishes or on its own slightly chilled.
