Winemaker's Notes
Vineyard - A blend of grapes from our Contract growers.
Soil - A mix of clay and free draining alluvial soils.
Vintage Conditions - Although growing conditions were less than ideal with sporadic rain over vintage, our low crop levels and diligent vineyard husbandry produced grapes for our Rosé with great flavour and finesse.
Harvest Date - April 2018
Fermentation/maturation - 100 % Stainless Steel with initial skin contact of 8 hours, releasing the light blush hues.
Alcohol - 13.5 %
Residual Sugar - 3 g/L
Acid - TBA g/L
Tasting Notes / General Comments - A nicely balanced Rosé with flavours of raspberries and blackcurrants, which followed by rose petal and candy floss finish, an easy drinking wine.
Hue - Medium Salmon hue
Nose - Floral, raspberries and blackcurrants
Palate - Raspberries, blackcurrants, rose petal and candy floss
Length - Gentle and Creamy
Cellar - Drink Young and fresh before 2021
Serving Suggestions -Serve chilled, a perfect lunch wine with hot smoked salmon
