Winemaker's Notes
Vineyard -From a selection of our growers grapes in the Nelson Region, hand made and blended at our Upper Moutere Winery.
Soil - A mix of Moutere clay and stony alluvial.
Vintage Conditions - Although growing conditions were less than ideal with sporadic rain over vintage, our low crop levels and diligent vineyard husbandry produced grapes for our Sauvignon Blnac with great flavour and finesse.
Harvest Date - April 2018
Fermentation/maturation - 100% Stainless steel
Alcohol - 13.0%
Residual Sugar - 5.0 g/L
Total Acidity - 9.4 g/L
Tasting Notes / General Comments - A well balanced, tropical flavoured Sauvignon Blanc showing a good combination of tropicl pineapple fruits wiwth hints of fresh lime leasding to a soft finish.
Hue - Clear Green Tinged
Nose - Herbaceous and fresh
Palate - Lively citrus and pinapple.
Length - Fresh & crisp with lively minerality.
Cellar - Drink young and fresh or cellar up to 2 years
Serving Suggestions - Serve chilled with fresh oysters, new season's asparagus and salads.
